Sun Mountain Reflex Real Space Saver

Take it from someone with rooms full of golf gear--smaller is better.  That's what makes the new Reflex golf push cart from Sun Mountain a real winner.  It folds and opens easier, has a smaller folded footprint, and weighs less than other golf carts. With its new, innovative folding process, Reflex is arguably the easiest cart on the market to fold and unfold. And at 51 cubic inches when folded and only 17 lbs., Reflex might fold the smallest and be the lightest push cart, too.

Thanks to the marvels of modern engineering, Sun Mountain Reflex folds into a small 25” x 15” x 11” footprint--about half the size of a standard golf bag.  It then easily opens into a full-sized golf push cart with a wide, secure stance. The deluxe accessory console includes a scorecard holder, two padded valuables trays, golf ball storage, and a beverage holder.

The company says Sun Mountain’s E-Z Latch System™ on the Reflex cart simplifies folding and unfolding the cart and adjusting the handle height. The handle on Reflex adjusts up and down and has individual handles with 180 degrees of adjustability for further ergonomic fine-turning. Reflex also features a handle-mounted parking brake and an umbrella mount on the handle to hold an open umbrella over golfer and clubs.

Reflex is available in four color combinations: black, silver, black/lime, and charcoal/red. Reflex carts are available now with a retail price of $259. Call 800-227-9224 or visit www.sunmountain.com to find your nearest retailer.

Sun Mountain Combo Advances Push Cart Technology

Sun Mountain continues to innovate the golf bag and push cart markets with the introduction of their new Combo cart. Combo is a golf push cart and golf bag in one, which is big step toward improved convenience. It folds for storage and opens easily for use.

When folded, the Combo cart fits into a car trunk flat, and can also be stored vertically in a clubroom. It occupies about half of the space of a separate cart and bag. When it’s time to hit the course, simply swing the front wheel into place, release the rear wheels, and set the handle height. When on the course, Combo offers the added bonus of a built-in seat that stores flat to the bag when not in use and then folds down for a secure and comfortable seat including a back pad.

The bag on the Combo offers full-length, individual club dividers, and eight pockets including a full-length clothing pocket, velour-lined valuables pocket and a beverage pocket. Also, if for some reason the bag ever needs to be replaced, it can be easily removed from the cart frame and replaced.

The frame of the Combo cart is constructed from a strong and lightweight aluminum. The accessory tray offers convenient spots for scorecards, beverages, balls, tees, as well as phones and wallets and other personal belongings. The solid foam tires and synthetic wheels on Combo are maintenance-free and a foot-operated braking system holds it steady when parked on hills.

Combo is in golf shops with a retail price of $469.

Bag Boy Announces "Walk The Course Day"

The Bag Boy Company, developer and designer of push carts that do everything but hit the ball for you, is launching a national "Walk The Course Day" slated for Saturday, June 8. Bag Boy is encouraging golfers who play golf on June 8 to walk the course and enjoy the health benefits' walking provides. Bag Boy and each participating golf course will donate $1 to the local First Tee Chapter for every golfer that walks and uses a push cart.

"As the leader in push carts, we feel this campaign is a great way for us to let golfers experience first-hand the benefits of walking the course and help out their local First Tee program," said Craig Ramsbottom, President, Dynamic Brands. "Our research has shown golfers not only enjoy the game and the overall experience more when they walk, but in fact play better."

The benefit of walking has been proven through a research study conducted by the Rose Centre in Denver, Colo. The study showed golfers' burn almost twice as many calories when they walk as oppose to riding in a cart and play more consistent, resulting in shooting lower scores than those riding in a cart. It was also found that walking provides a better overall experience, allowing golfers to interact with their playing partners more and enjoy the natural beauty of the course from tee to green.

Calories Burned While Playing 9 Holes
1.       Walking: 721
2.       Using a caddie: 613

Golfers who participate in the "Walk The Course Day" on June 8 will be entered to win a new TriSwivel push cart and accessory pack.
